Camille Poirier-Lachance is a Canadian violinist recognized for her expressive musicality and versatility, with interests spanning from historical performance to contemporary interpretation. A recipient of grants from the Fonds de recherche du Québec and the Jeunesses Musicales du Canada, she has performed as a chamber and orchestral musician on international stages across North America and Europe. She has appeared at renowned music festivals such as the Perlman Music Program, Kneisel Hall and the Taos School of Music, working with members of leading string quartets and acclaimed musicians such as Itzhak Perlman and Donald Weilerstein. Camille has performed with ensembles including Les Arts Florissants, Arion Orchestre Baroque, Nederlands Philharmonisch Orkest, Residentie Orkest, Les Violons du Roy, Theresia Orchestra, and the Lucerne Festival Contemporary Orchestra. She completed her modern violin education at McGill University (BM, MM, AD), graduating with distinction. As of Fall 2023, she is pursuing a master’s degree in baroque violin at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, under the tutelage of Shunske Sato and Emmanuel Resche-Caserta. She performs on an 1867 Jean-Baptiste Vuillaume violin as well as a Johann Christian Ficker baroque violin, graciously provided to her by CANIMEX INC.
